UYLA Sympathizes with Ewu Community Over Loss of Two Leaders In Military Detention
The Urhobo Youth Leaders Association (UYLA) has extended its condolences to the people of Ewu Kingdom over the recent deaths of two Okuama leaders in military custody.
UYLA also condemned the continuous military detention of Ewu Kingdom leaders that has resulted in the death of two notable leaders, Pa Dennis Okubaye and Pa James Oghoroko.
In a condolence statement by UYLA’s National President, Olorogun (Amb) Samuel Onoriode Oghotomo (JP) and National Secretary, Olorogun (Dr) Augustine Ogheneovo Atiti assured the Ewu people of continuous support at this difficult time and called on the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Alhaji Bola Amed Tinubu to direct the military authority to release all the detained Ewu leaders unconditionally, especially since the Delta State government led by Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori was working towards restoring peace to the troubled Okuama community.
UYLA further issued a stern warning regarding the continuous detention and reported deaths of Ewu leaders in undisclosed military facilities, asserting that this situation may escalate tensions and spark further crisis in the region.
